This policy explains what personal data shashwat.wtf (the "Site") handles, why, and your rights. The Site is run by Shashwat Gupta in his personal capacity ("I", "me"), who decides how this data is used. It's a simple site: there are no accounts or sign-up forms, and I never sell personal data or use it for advertising.

1. What I handle, and why

Emails you send me. Your email address, name and whatever you choose to write. Used only to reply and continue the conversation you started. Kept only as long as needed for that, or until you ask me to delete it.
Analytics. No analytics tools are running on the Site right now.
Technical logs. Like any website, the hosting provider's servers may briefly record your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. Used only to keep the Site secure and working.
Your Day / Night choice. Saved only in your own browser so the Site remembers it. It never leaves your device.

I don't knowingly collect sensitive personal data, and I ask you not to send me ID numbers, bank details or similar documents.

2. Who else is involved

Data passes through a few trusted service providers, each under its own privacy policy: Hostinger (hosting) and GitHub (storing the Site's content). Some of them may process data outside India. I don't share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.

3. How long I keep it

Only as long as needed for the purpose above, or as required by law. Emails are deleted on request.

4. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable law, you can:

ask what personal data I hold about you and how it's used;
ask me to correct, complete, update or delete it;
withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it;
nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you're unable to;
raise a grievance with me (section 7), and if you're not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these, email shashwat@yoisho.in. I may ask you to confirm your identity before acting.

5. Children

The Site is meant for adults and isn't directed at anyone under 18. If you're under 18, please don't send me personal data or without a parent or guardian's involvement. If I learn I've received a child's data without that, I'll delete it.

6. Security

I use reasonable security measures, including HTTPS-only access, a password-protected and rate-limited dashboard, and strict browser security settings. No website or internet transmission is ever completely secure, though, so I can't guarantee absolute security. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I'm not responsible for unauthorised access that happens despite these measures, or for the practices of the third-party services listed above. If a breach affecting your data occurs, I'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

7. Grievance officer and contact

8. Changes

I may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how your data is used, I'll make it clear on the Site.
